Just minutes from the city of Puerto Varas and Puerto Montt airport, there is this excellent alternative to practice fly fishing in the Los Lagos Region.

This river is born in the second largest lake in Chile, the Llanquihue in the city of the same name and has 3 sections of float, plus some sections closed by humid forest and mangroves, which makes this site a particularly private place for accesses on its shores, with deep waters and perfect sectors for fishing with dry flies or streamers.

Brown, rainbow and percatrucha trout abound, as well as Atlantic (Salar), Cohos and King salmon. With luck it is possible to catch some peladilla, fish native to Chile.
